Boarding

We went snowboarding on Saturday the 27th at Brighton. So fun! Thanks Dad!

Christmas

We had an awesome Christmas! Jeremy's little sister Nicki came down from Montana. On the 23rd we went to This Is The Place Heritage Park and the boys got to see Father Christmas. They had a Pioneer style Christmas up there it was so fun!
On the 24th we went to Jeremy's parents house to have Dinner with his Oma and Grandma. We had yummy Honey Baked Ham, opened gifts and played games.

And on Christmas morning we did the run around to Jeremy's parents, his grandma's house and then to my grandma's house. All over the boys were spoiled!
We had a great Christmas. I hope you all did too!

My brave little man!

Today Alec had some major dental work done. He had to be placed under anesthesia and it was a pretty scary thing for him, but he was very brave. In recovery he pulled out his IV without using his other hand, the smart little bugger! lol He wasn't so keen on the idea of having something to drink, so we had to stay in recovery for quite sometime until he could keep something down.
He is doing really well right now. He wants to eat all the normal stuff and he can't yet so thats been a bit of a challenge. He says his mouth hurts a little which you would expect after all that. I'm so proud of him, my little boy!
Alec finally eating something, Jell-o!

Christmas Tree

We put our Christmas tree up tonight. The boys have redecorated about 8 times since then. :)

The Wood Family Party

The Saturday after Thanksgiving has always been the Wood Family Party. Four generations of the family get together, we play games, eat good food, and catch up. This year the host was Jeremy's Great Aunt Ann's Family. It was up in Plain City, Utah. We did skits (that explains the costumes in some of the pics) and the kids hit a pinata. Jer's family is awesome! They are the funniest, craziest people I know, and we love them all!

Twilight Opening

The long awaited opening of Twilight was last night! I'm a nerd! I know that, but I loved these books and could not wait for the movie.

Twilight Pictures, Images and Photos

I went with a couple of my super close friends! Melissa and i showing off our Golden Tickets. I look like crap, but it was midnight at the movies...

I'm sorry Churro our pic didn't turn out! :( But I want to thank you my gimpy friend, it was your injury that let us in early!

Needless to say, we loved it! There were some questionable moments though. LOL. But overall we loved! Thanks for a fun night girls!

They say everything comes in threes...

I just need to vent.

First let me start by saying I am so grateful that my family is in good health. And I know there is always the "things could be worse" saying. And I know there are people with things that are far more devastating. This is just my personal little dilemma and I wanted to get it out.

It just seems like three pretty pricey health items have jumped up and bit us in the butt.

#1. So those of you who know my family know about Alec and his speech therapy. Well, it's official, insurance won't touch it! So it's all out of pocket.

#2. Gavin went to the doctor yesterday. He's a big healthy 6 year old. Only small item, he needs glasses. Ok, I can handle it.

and here is the whopper!

#3. Alec has to have some serious dental work done! We're talking MAJOR! He has to be put under and everything...

I think Jeremy and I will avoid the doctor for awhile. lol

Gavin waiting for the fun to begin!
Alec was being such a turkey about having his picture taken that we had to be sneaky!

Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins last night. Alec wouldn't touch the inside, it was so funny. He kept telling us it was scary! It took Gavin a minute but he finally dug in. They turned out so cute!

Our Night

For Jeremy's birthday we got a room at the hotel. It was so nice! Just the two of us! We went swimming and sat in the steam room. We went to dinner at Happy Sumo with two of our friends. It was so relaxing and fun. I love my husband so much! This January will be ten years and I wouldn't have it any other way! I love you baby!!!

My Mother's Day Sunflower

Back on Mother's Day I got a flat of sunflowers from work. I gave them to my neighbors except for one I kept for my self. The thing got HUGE!! The head was about 18" diameter. This picture was on Aug 29th, still not full grown.

Jeremy cut the head off the flower and we started harvesting the seeds. It was crazy! The boys had a hayday pulling the seeds out. We had to get on the net and figure out how to salt and toast them. It was actually a lot of fun. I think we have a new tradition in the Wood family.
Here they are all salted and toasted...  I was proud, and they taste awesome!

A night with the boys!

Jeremy was kind enough to help one of his friends work on their car tonight. That left the boys and I alone with a run of the house. I now realize how much my children are like Jeremy and I... partially insane. Seriously, I think I laughed so hard I peed a little! They are getting so big! Their personalities are growing and they are hilarious. Oh I love those two!

Jeremy's Love for His Grandfather

It was a Sunday in late September in 2006.  When we got a family announcement that my Grandfather had been diagnosed with a form of Leukemia.  It changed the whole family forever.  We weren't supposed to have him that coming christmas.  And here we are almost 2 years to the day of when he was diagnosed. What an amazing person he was.  Loving father, ideal husband. And a simply amazing grandfather. I would have to say my most favorite memory of him is  every time we had a family get together of any type. He would always do all the dishes when we were done eating.  The simple things.  It was that type of attitude and dedication he had throughout his entire life  that made me look up to him the way I do. The same way I look up to my father.  Always a hard working individual.  Even up until his last couple months he was doing things like that.  We love you grandpa. Your sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren will take very good care of grandma for you.  Rest well...   March 6 1925 - Sep 15 2008

My Birthday Boy

Tuesday was Gavin's Birthday and since we aren't having his party till this weekend, my Grams decided to take him shopping and to dinner. Something that she would do with us when we were little. Gavin wanted to go to Toy's R Us, of course. When we got there they gave him a crown and announced his name on the intercom. He was so proud, he told me that he was "the king of Toy's R Us!" I love that kid! And I love my Grams, it was nice to be there and remember all the good times with her when it was my birthday.
Oh I love this picture! lol
